Modulated Drills and Automated Drill Turrets:
Modulated drills and automated drill turrets are specialized tools used to mine rich ice and rich asteroids.
They can be bought from traders or crafted in a constructor after learning the schematic.
They come in multiple types and can be used in space on capital vessels.
They are usable only in space.
As the automated drill turrets can automatically fire it is recommended to use a full set of them for the fastest mining.
They do not operate while you are outside render range of your ship.
Modulated Ice Harvester Drill:
These mounted drills are modulated to harvest dense ice and rich ice.
They will have little effect on anything else.
Automated Ice Harvester Drill Turrets:
These are turrets that will automatically mine dense ice or rich ice.
They need their targeting settings to be set up for NPC factions, bases, and warp drives.
This will allow them to target the rich ice.
Modulated Asteroid Harvester Drills:
These mounted drills are modulated to harvest rich asteroids.
They require deuterium fuel cells to run.
They will have little effect on anything else.
Automated Asteroid Harvester Drill Turrets:
These are turrets that will automatically mine rich asteroids.
They need their targeting settings to be set up for NPC factions, bases, and warp drives.
They require deuterium fuel cells to run.
This will allow them to target the rich asteroids.
Asteroid Excavator Turret:
These are large, industrial scale turrets that will automatically mine rich asteroids.
They need their targeting settings to be set up for NPC factions, bases, and warp drives.
They require deuterium fuel cells to run.
This will allow them to target the rich asteroids.
